New Image Carpets is a friendly, family ran flooring company based in Sunderland and South Shields. We have been providing our customers with a top quality service for almost half a century!
Currently a father and son team, it all started back with our Father and Grandad Henry Cotton who was co-owner of Cotton & Telfer before going separate ways and passing a wealth of knowledge down the family tree, as well as traditional and honest family values.
We specialise in all flooring, and we are dedicated to providing a professional, helpful and honest customer service, as well as exceptional quality on the preparation and fitting of all our jobs.

We have a huge selection of flooring between both of our shops, showcasing some of the biggest and best brands in the flooring industry. We have flooring perfect for those on a budget, all the way up to luxury flooring, all at competitive prices.

How do I get a price for flooring?We provide a FREE measure/quote service to local areas. Once we have your sizes you can get a price on anything you like in the shop. If you are happy with your own sizes bring them into either of our shops and we can work out a price on anything you like

How do I get samples?We have many sample books of our ranges that are available to borrow FREE of charge. We recommend taking sample books home to see what the flooring looks like in your house. If you explain what type of flooring you want we can bring certain samples to you when we measure.

What is the best type of flooring?We have a team of friendly experts in both shops who are willing to spend the time going through all our ranges and advising you what the best flooring is for your needs. We understand it is a big decision and we are here to help.

Do you fit all flooring?We can supply and fit all the flooring sold in either of our shops. We have a team of top quality fitters dedicated to giving you a top quality service. We can also sell products on a supply only basis and local delivery can be arranged.

What to do with the existing flooring?The existing flooring you are getting replaced should be uplifted and out of the room ready for the fitting team arriving. This includes things like underlay and gripper unless they are being reused. If you can’t uplift the old flooring, this is a service we offer at an extra charge. Please let us know before the day so we can allow for more time.

What if there are items in the room?The room should be completely clear ready for the fitting team arriving to ensure they can get the job done as neatly as possible. We understand there are certain items and furniture that are hard to get out of a room so please let us know before the fitting day. We cannot touch or unplug any electrical and white goods (Televisions, computers, Washing machines, fridges, dishwashers etc)

What do you do with the rubbish?All scraps of flooring and general rubbish will be neatly bagged up by the fitting team and put to one side, but we do not dispose or take the rubbish away. We can provide a disposal service at an extra charge, but please let us know before the fitting date so we can get this arranged.
